The Hellenic Society of Musculoskeletal Radiology has been formally constituted on December 21, 2014.

The society has currently 55 members, most of them dedicated on imaging of musculoskeletal disorders and trained abroad.

✧✧ ESSR introduces an Outreach Program ✧✧

The basic idea of the ESSR outreach programme is to send out a team of experienced speakers to run a teaching course in a country, where musculoskeletal radiology is still developing.

✧✧ ESSR Annual Scientific Meeting 2015 ✧✧

On behalf of Dr. Andrew Grainger, Dr. Philip Robinson and the ESSR Executive Committee, we would like to cordially thank you for your participation at this year’s Annual Scientific Meeting, held from June 18-20, 2015, in York. The scientific programme of the congress attracted more than 700 participants from Europe, the Arabic countries, the United States of America, Asia and Australia. Some highlights of the meeting were the Honorary Membership awarding to Prof. Carlo Faletti, the ESSR Quiz Session and the joyful Get Together on Friday evening at the York Barbican Center.

✧✧ ESSR 2016 - "Knee & Ankle" ✧✧
Save the date: June 9-11, Zurich/CH

The ESSR 2016 meeting will be held from June 9-11 in the city of Zurich/CH.
The main topic will be "Knee & Ankle", besides a wide range of more general themes in MSK radiology including tumours, arthritis, trauma, metabolic conditions and sports imaging.

✧✧ In memoriam Prof. Vladimir Jevtic ✧✧

It is with great sadness that we announce the loss of Prof. Vladimir Jevtic, who passed away on March 11, 2015.
Prof. Jevtic was widely respected for his work and research. Widely admired, he was former president and honorary member of the European Society of Musculoskeletal Radiology. He will be missed by his friends and peers.

ESSR Education Chairman Prof. Carlo Martinoli awarded at ECR

Prof. Martinoli's paper entitled “Musculoskeletal ultrasound: technical guidelines ”, published in Insights into Imaging in 2010, has received 4,345 downloads in 2014 and was therefore awarded a "Insights into Imaging Most Downloaded Paper Award 2014" for receiving the second highest number of downloads.
