ESSR call for candidates

We are delighted to inform you that the following persons will take over the Chairpersonship in June 2022: 

Ultrasound Subcommittee
Dr. Lionel Pesquer, Merignac/FR, did apply for the vacant position and will be the new Ultrasound Subcommittee Chairperson.
Term of office: June 2022-2025

Paediatric Subcommittee
Dr. Paolo Simoni, Brussels/BE, did apply for the vacant position and will continue as Paediatric Subcommittee Chairperson.
Term of office: June 2022-2025

Online Election

Imaging Guided Interventions 
We did receive two applications for the vacant position as Chairperson: 
Dr. Dr. Francesco Arrigoni, L’Aquila/IT  and Prof. Dr. Thomas Le Corroller Marseille/FR

For this reason we will organise an online election between May 17-24. All Members with voting rights will receive their voting details via e-mail as soon as the voting starts. Make sure to cast your vote!

All applications have been approved by the ESSR Executive Committee and we wish to thank all distinguished colleagues for their support and services for the society.

Young Researchers Grant

In order to encourage research on musculoskeletal topics by young researchers, the European Society of Musculoskeletal Radiology (ESSR) has decided to create two research grants that will be awarded to young researchers to develop their projects in the field of musculoskeletal diagnostic and interventional imaging. 

The yearly Application Deadline is April 14


Exchange Programme for Musculoskeletal Imaging Fellowship

The increasing awareness of the required expertise in musculoskeletal radiology has led the European Society of Musculoskeletal Radiology (ESSR), supported by the European Society of Radiology (ESR) and the European School of Radiology (ESOR), to take the initiative in establishing an exchange programme for fellowships and a dedicated subspecialty training in musculoskeletal radiology.


Scholarship Programme for Musculoskeletal Radiology

The ESOR Visiting Scholarship Programme (Europe) offers qualified trainees the opportunity to get to know another training environment and to kick off an interest for subspecialisation in radiology. During three months of training the scholars will be provided with a structured, modular introduction to different subspecialties and will be supervised by a specialised tutor in a pre-selected, highly esteemed academic training centre in Europe
