ESSR call for candidates

Herewith we would like to inform you, that the position of the Chairperson of the Sports Subcommittee will become vacant in June 2023.

Task & Duties of Subcommittee Chairperson:

  • coordinate the activities of each individual subcommittee
  • The term of office will be 3 years commencing at the annual scientific meeting (Re-Election possible once)
  • organise twice-yearly meetings of the sub-committee, at ECR and at the annual scientific meeting of ESSR
  • keep a record of the subcommittee members, minutes of each meeting and provide reports to the ExCom
  • Respond to requests and directives from ExCom

If you wish to apply, please send your application letter (including motivations for that position and a brief personal resume) to the current chairperson and the ESSR office ( no later than February 20, 2023.

In the event of more than one nomination, a ballot will be organised electronically – all ESSR members (with voting rights) will have the right to vote.

The new chairperson should be approved by the Executive Committee.
Term of office: June 2023-2026

Young Researchers Grant

In order to encourage research on musculoskeletal topics by young researchers, the European Society of Musculoskeletal Radiology (ESSR) has decided to create two research grants that will be awarded to young researchers to develop their projects in the field of musculoskeletal diagnostic and interventional imaging. 

The yearly Application Deadline is April 14


Exchange Programme for Musculoskeletal Imaging Fellowship

The increasing awareness of the required expertise in musculoskeletal radiology has led the European Society of Musculoskeletal Radiology (ESSR), supported by the European Society of Radiology (ESR) and the European School of Radiology (ESOR), to take the initiative in establishing an exchange programme for fellowships and a dedicated subspecialty training in musculoskeletal radiology.


Scholarship Programme for Musculoskeletal Radiology

The ESOR Visiting Scholarship Programme (Europe) offers qualified trainees the opportunity to get to know another training environment and to kick off an interest for subspecialisation in radiology. During three months of training the scholars will be provided with a structured, modular introduction to different subspecialties and will be supervised by a specialised tutor in a pre-selected, highly esteemed academic training centre in Europe
