Professor Nicolas Theumann (Clinique Bois-Cerf, Lausanne, Switzerland) and Professor Olivier Hauger (Hôpital Pellegrin, CHU, Bordeaux) are organizing a three-day continuing education course that will take place from Thursday, September 12 to Saturday, September 14, 2024, at the Negresco Hotel in Nice, France.

The speakers are Prof. Olivier Hauger (RAD-CHU, Bordeaux) and Prof. Nicolas Theumann (Radiologie Hirslanden Bois-Cerf, Lausanne).

The seminar will focus on “THE KNEE, A NEW VISION”.

This seminar is recognized by the FMC-RIM, is registered with the Swiss Society of Radiology, the Swiss Society of Orthopedics, the Swiss Society of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and the SSRheumatology.

On behalf of myself and the musculoskeletal Section of the Polish Medical Radiologic Society (PLTR), I invite you to a broader and more international version of the radiologic-orthopedic conference held October 11-13, 2024, in Lodz, Poland.

In October 2024, together with Professor Marcin Domżalski and Professor Dennis Bielecki, we invite you to Łódź, where there will be a meeting of radiologists and orthopedists with the special participation of Professor Donald Resnick. Thanks to Professor Bielecki’s incredible support, Professor Resnick accepted our invitation.

Dr. Donald Resnick’s illustrious career spans over 40 years, primarily at the University of California, San Diego, where he is professor emeritus of MSK radiology. He has served as a reviewer or on the editorial board of over 30 peer-reviewed journals, a function he is well suited for, as he has published over 850 peer-reviewed articles in orthopedic and radiologic literature! Dr. Resnick has authored 25 textbooks and book chapters, and his textbooks “Diagnosis of Bone and Joint Disorders” (5 volumes) and “Internal Derangements of Joints” are considered essential components of any musculoskeletal radiology library. He has given over 1200 presentations at national and international scientific and educational meetings. Dr. Resnick has received a multitude of awards, including the Gold Medal from the American Roentgen Ray Society, the Founder’s Medal from the International Skeletal Society, and being named Educator of the Year by the Radiological Society of North America.

The depth of Dr. Resnick’s legacy is immeasurable, as in addition to his body of personal work, he has trained many of today’s leaders in musculoskeletal radiology. Over 250 fellows have graduated from Dr. Resnick’s prestigious musculoskeletal radiology program at UCSD. It is with good reason that Dr. Resnick is the “father of present-day musculoskeletal radiology.” Professor Resnick will be visiting Poland for the first time.

The meeting will include a lecture by a radiologist on the imaging of a given pathology, which an orthopedist will follow in the context of treatment. Finally, the radiologist-orthopedist team will speak about the problems of postoperative imaging.
